"Hóa Rồng" - Fly, Dragon Fly.
"Hóa Rồng" - Fly, Dragon Fly.
In Vietnam, lucky money given in red envelopes is called "Lì xì," representing heartfelt wishes for the New Year. For a long time, creating my own collection of Tet envelopes was at the top of my to-do list. In early 2024, during my gap year, I finally made it happen.
Combining my love for visual puns, I created three unique designs, each representing a different New Year wish.
I’m so grateful that my very first business venture went so well. I nearly sold out the entire collection this year! 🙏 A huge thanks to my good friend, Thuy, for the wonderful photography that brought these designs to life.
This is the main wish for 2024 - the year of Dragon. "Hóa Rồng" in Vietnamese means huge transformation.
It's time to transform, to change, to take action, to fly, Dragon Fly.
The pun around the word "Money" and "May" ("luck" in Vietnamese). When giving the envelope, we always say "Lì xì lấy May" but to me, "Money" also matters (jk)
"There is a lot of luck inside this smile."
